5 Strikers Likely to Replace retired Emenike

Image result for emenike

As the news of the strikers’ international submission came, it caught everyone unawares as no one would have expected the player to call the shot on his international carrier that soon.

Some may say he should quit and some are quiet as a cautious measure as they are not sure if it was the right decision to make at a point in time that we have already loss the team captain Vincent Enyeama to the same retirement.

Whichever way it may be, positive or negative there are still some strikers available and ready to go bearing in mind that Nigeria is not bereft of talent especially in the attacking positions. Possibly these strikers are likely to benefit from Emenike retirement from the national team.

On this note SoccerNet Nigeria takes a look at five strikers who can benefit from Emenike retirement from the Super Eagles.

OLARENWAJU KAYODE
SoccerNet Nigeria
The young speedy forward is a bright talent who could benefit from Emenike International retirement. The striker is not new to the Nigerian football terrain as he had already featured for the junior team notably in the U-17 in 2009, U-20 twice in 2011 and 2013 scoring a superb goal in the round of 16 against Uruguay to the delight of the match commentator.

Though Nigeria lost out 2-1 to the South American but the moment of ecstasy following the goal was worth it as Kayode captured our mind and restored parity for the flying eagles at 1-1.

On the club level the striker moved over to one of Austrian-Bundesliga giants Austrian Wien and is among the top in the league scores with 5 goals to his name. The young forward had already improved his game as he had made a mark in Israel by guiding Maccabi Netanya to the top flight.

With his current form the striker is certainly one of those who deserve a look in the National Team set up.

EMEM EDUOK
SoccerNet Nigeria
The speedy left footed forward have already announced himself on the local scene a couple of months ago. The Akwa-Ibom born forward reach one of his high points when he scored double hat trick (6 goals)in the 6 -1 defeat of Sharks of Port Harcourt in the league.

He finished second on the league scores chart behind Mfon Udoh with 20 goals to his name and won the most valuable player in the Nigerian FA cup as he also scored in the finals as his club Dolphins lost to Enyimba 2-1 in the finals.

Eduok talent have not been in doubt as he wowed home fans in his native home in the international friendly win over Ghana at the Akwa-Ibom Stadium known as the “nest of champions” as he scored the only goal of the game and underlying his attacking credential. He moved to Esperance in Tunisia and has already lightened up the league with massive contributions, scoring goals and providing assists.

A lot of clubs are monitoring his services and a possible returns to the team on a regular basis beckons for the Esperance hit man.

BROWN IDEYE
SoccerNet Nigeria
The forward who formed lethal partnership with Emenike in attack in the Afcon 2013 triumph had a dip in form and was left out of Nigeria world cup squad. A surprise move to the English premiership to West Brownish Albion with then a record fee of 9 million came through for Brown Ideye with the delight of many Nigerians but the young man struggled in England possibly due to adaptative measures, price tag pressures and injury at some point in the league.

He required the encouragement of compatriot and former Baggies forward Nwankwo Kanu to make a mark at some point early in the year and was recalled for international duty for the friendly against Uganda and South Africa in Nigeria (Nest of Champions) and in South Africa (Nelspruit) respectively only for him to miss out to injury.

He moved over to Greece Giants Olympiakos and seems to discover his scoring touch as he registered his name on the score sheet for three consecutive game with the latest against Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia as Olympiakos won 1-0. A performance of that quality will certainly tilt the heart of Nigeria coach towards his direction for a possible call up to the national team fold.

ABIOLA DAUDA
SoccerNet Nigeria
The Nigeria forward who spent massive eight years in the lesser league for Serbia Side Red Star Belgrade moved to Vitesse Arnhem in the summer of 2014 and won the heart of home fans with his first hat-trick in the league earning the praise of his manager and drawing comparison to Ivorian forward Bony Wilfred.

The striker have always been a hot property in Europe as interest for his services over the years grew due to his blistering performances but the red tape rule (work permit) fluffed all his potential moves. He was blighted by injury towards the second part of last season but now he is back with the goals this season.

The forward pace and trickery are his strength and playing in the Dutch Eredivise have offered him the opportunity to fine tune his attacking style. A chance in the National Team to fill the void left by Emenike cannot be underestimated for Dauda.

AARON SAMUEL
SoccerNet Nigeria
Aaron Olanare Samuel was widely known as the Chinese product during his invitation to the national team by former Super Eagles gaffer Stephen Keshi. Some referred to him as Tokunbo and many wondered why a Chinese based forward was called up to the National Team in place of the in-form Villarreal man Ike Uche.

Criticism was intense in Nigeria for Keshi as Nigerians questions his decision, but one of the players who deserve a return to the striking position is Aaron Samuel, “the Chinese breed” Scored a goal against Sudan in between Ahmed Musa’s brace to ensure that Nigeria won 3-1.

However, that did little for the Chinese based player as many felt it was just a fluke, but with his second goal which was a classy curling effort against Congo in Pointe Noire, now then was it was enough to underline his credentials as a National Team materials coupled with interest from Champions league club CSKA Moscow.

The time is now to return the Chinese based striker back to the team to possibly add competition to the forward line that boasts of Musa and Ighalo.

6 Powerful Ways in Coping With Difficult Co-Worker

Image result for co worker in office
No two people are exactly alike, but they do share traits - and those traits aren't always positive Muyiwa Afolabi reiterated. Some prefer drama or negative attention. They are everywhere, including the workplace. They might be on your team or sit in a nearby cubicle. It could be your boss, a vendor, The Non-management staffs or a colleague. They're combative, critical or non-productive.
Unless you are very lucky, some probably work with you. You aren't likely to change them, so the best you can do is come up with a plan to mitigate the misery. Here are some steps that can help you in Achieving this goals.
1. LABEL BEHAVIOURS, NOT PEOPLE.-Understanding the behaviour will help you identify the root of the problem and will likely help you build a strategy for having a more productive relationship with the person, Labelling and rating people limits you. You cannot see the potential in front of you because you're blinded by the label. Label the behaviour instead of the person.
2. BE MORE OF A SOLUTION NOT THE PROBLEM.-Are you being pulled into the downward emotional spiral? More importantly what can you do to prevent this from happening? Be introspective. How are you contributing to the undesired behaviours and what is within your control to improve the situation? The bottom-line is don't let your action or inaction add OR make a bad situation worse.
3. CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE.-Some things are out of your control. Chances are you are not going to change this person, so your best bet is to focus on what you can control. You have at least two choices - focusing on the problems or focusing on creating solutions. If you change your perspective to focus upon solutions, you're more likely to gain solutions.
4. GROW YOUR EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE.-Emotional intelligence helps you deal with difficult people from a rational standpoint, allowing you to focus on the facts of the relationship by recognizing and managing your emotions as compared to those of the difficult person. It can't replace technical excellence, but it can multiply the business advantage for the company. And, it can multiply the effectiveness for the individual.
5. IDENTIFY THE REAL ISSUE.-Is the colleague’s behaviour impacting your work? If the answer is yes, try to communicate with him/her at a time and in a place that allows them some dignity. Then explain the situation. If you feel like you've exhausted those avenues then maybe it's time to talk to your manager or supervisor and get some assistance from them.
6. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.-Get plenty of sleep, eat healthy foods, exercise, spend time with positive people, and reconnect with yourself. Doing so can only increase your odds of a better outcome and will help you lead a healthier, more manageable lifestyle. Find ways to reduce stress levels in your own life, like listening to music, meditation, exercise or a self-help book. For others it may be golf or fishing. Whatever you do to relax, make sure you are investing enough time in your own wellness.   See you at the Top

PortHarcourt Airport tops the List of World's Worst Airport: FAAN counters CNN

About a week ago, CNN published an article of the World’s Worst Airports, and Port Harcourt Airport topped this list a source reported. In the article, the airport was described as having unhelpful and unpleasant staff, lack of seating, broken AC, and a tent for an arrival hall. List of Worst Airports:

List of Worst Airports are:

1. Port Harcourt International Airport (Nigeria)

2. King Abdulaziz International Airport (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia)
3. Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu, Nepal)
4. Tashkent International Airport (Uzbekistan)
5. Simon Bolivar International Airport (Caracas, Venezuela)
6. Toussaint Louverture International Airport (Port au Prince, Haiti)
7. Hamid Karzai International Airport (Kabul, Afghanistan)
8. Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)
9. Benazir Bhutto International Airport (Islamabad, Pakistan)
10. Beauvais-Tille International Airport (Paris)

The FAAN (Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria) however are not happy about this ranking, and have released a statement to air their irrelevances:

"OUR STAND IS THAT THE SAID RANKING WAS UNFOUNDED AS IT DID NOT TAKE COGNIZANCE OF THE FACT THAT THE AIRPORT TERMINAL WAS STILL UNDERGOING REMODELLING. SOME OF ITS TERMINAL OPERATIONS ARE STILL CONDUCTED IN A TEMPORARY STRUCTURE. APART FROM THIS, CONSTRUCTION WORK IS ALSO IN PROGRESS AT THE SITE OF THE NEW INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL. WE BELIEVE THAT OPERATIONS AT SUCH AN AIRPORT WHERE CONSTRUCTION WORK IS GOING ON SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH NORMAL FLIGHT AND RELATED OPERATIONS CANNOT BE AS CONDUCIVE AS IN THOSE AIRPORTS WHERE THERE ARE NO ON-GOING CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS. NEITHER CAN ENVIRONMENTS AT SUCH DIFFERENT SCENARIOS BE EQUALLY CLEAN, THE STATEMENT ADDED. WE WISH TO ASSURE ALL PASSENGERS, AIRLINE OPERATORS AND OTHER AIRPORT USERS THAT SERVICES AT OUR AIRPORTS ARE DELIVERED AT RECOMMENDED INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS THAT ENSURE SAFETY, SECURITY AND COMFORT. WHILE WE REGRET ANY INCONVENIENCE EXPERIENCED AT THESE AIRPORTS, INCLUDING PORT HARCOURT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, DUE TO ON-GOING CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS, WE PROMISE THAT SERVICES AT THESE AIRPORTS WILL SURELY GET BETTER AT THE COMPLETION OF THESE PROJECTS."

#CapitalOneCup: Mourinho's reaction on Hazard as Chelsea Crashed Out

Embedded image permalink   Embedded image permalink

Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho has refused to blame Eden Hazard for the club’s early exit from the League Cup, after he failed to net from the spot, 360nobs reports
A Loic Remy goal was the equaliser Chelsea needed to send the match into extra time and an eventual penalty shootout.
Willian, Oscar, Remy and Zouma all converted from the spot, with Stoke also recording a 100%, but hazard failed to finish.
And Mourinho has refused to heap any blame on Hazard who has been struggling with his performance.
“I remember some penalty shootouts. There were misses form Arjen Robben, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka. And now our best penalty taker as well,” Mourinho said at a news conference.
“I never blame a player for missing a penalty, though.”
The defeat represented yet another disappointing result for Chelsea, who have also been struggling badly in the league and Champions League, but Mourinho sees no reason for panic.
“I am happy with our performance. I can take a day off on Wednesday with no problems. I think we played well. We played some attacking football and could have been three or four up at half-time. The team did everything after we fell a goal behind. It was no more than deserved when we equalised,” he added.
“We go out with sadness, but also with a positive feeling. It’s more difficult when you play bad and lose than play well and lose. The players must be frustrated because they’re not getting what they deserve.
“A few months ago I won a few matches and I was champion. People were saying there are things more important than results, yet now, people say results are the most important thing. It’s a contradiction.”
The Chelsea boss then went on to defend his players against recent criticism and feels they deserve more respect.
“There is a lack of respect towards my players. What some people write and say is really bad for the players. Maybe they think my players are like them when they were players. My players don’t do that, they tried everything.
“If anyone saw the second half the other day, playing with 10 men the way my players did … the things they say and write is a lack of respect for the players.”
Next up for Chelsea is a challenging meeting with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday.
