Terry Iniesta Ready for 100th UCL Game

Terry, Iniesta Ready For 100th UCL Game

John Terry will make his 100th Champions League appearance for Chelsea intonight’s clash with Sporting Lisbon.
The Blues head to Portugal bidding to pick up their first win in this year’s competition after their opening day draw with Schalke at Stamford Bridge.
Cesc Fabregas looked to have handed his side a winning start, however, Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar netted a late leveller to stun the hosts.
Blues skipper Terry will be desperate to lead his side all the way to glory in Berlin next May.
He famously missed a penalty in Chelsea’s 2008 defeat to Manchester United in Moscow, and missed their 2012 triumph over Bayern Munich through suspension.
Terry will come up against Manchester United star Nani tonight, with the Portugal winger back at Sporting on a season-long loan deal.
Another familiar face will be summer transfer target William Carvalho, who is still with the club despite strong interest from the likes of Manchester.
Also set to join the 100 club when Barcelona take on Ligue 1 champions, PSG at the Parc des Princes on tonight is vice-captain, Andres Iniesta.
Iniesta will only be the fourth player in club history to reach this particular milestone, joining current captain Xavi Hernandez (148 games – 12 goals), former captain Carles Puyol (120 games – 2 goals) and former goalkeeper, Victor Valdes (110 games – 90 goals conceded).
“On Tuesday night, Andrés Iniesta returns to Paris, the city where he won his first Champions League winners medal, with the opportunity of making his hundredth appearance in the competition. In the 99 games he’s played in since making his debut against Bruges in the 2002/03 season, Iniesta has scored ten goals and picked up three winners medals.
“Iniesta won his first winners medal on May 17, 2006, as Eto’o and Belletti got the goals to win Barça the first of a trio of trophies over the next five years, with the wins in Rome in 2009 and London in 2011. Yet it is for the goal in the semi-final against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in 2009 that Iniesta will be best remembered, as his dramatic, late strike ensured a place in the Rome final.”
Iniesta is expected to start after resting this past weekend against Granada.

Pst Ayo Oritsejafor Speaks on Smuggled $9.3 million Found in his Jet!

Pst Ayo Oritsejafor Speaks on Smuggled $9.3 million Found in his Jet!

The president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN),
Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, who has been embroiled in many controversies
recently after $9.3m was found smuggled into South Africa by two Nigerians
and an Israeli, using his private jet, has again cried out saying he's innocent.

A visibly disturbed Pastor Ayo reaffirmed this at the National Executive Council
meeting of CAN which held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja. In his own words;

"I wish to assure you that I will not do anything to tarnish the image of
Jesus Christ or compromise the divine standard of the church.

"As you are all aware, the media has been awashed in the past few days
about an unfortunate incident involving the movement of funds from Nigeria
to South Africa. In the unfortunate news reports, attempts have been made
to link me directly with the transaction."

"So far, I have refrained from making any direct public response pending
the time that I would have briefed the leaders of the church and explained
my position on the issues to them."

"I believe that the primary institution that I owe any explanation to is the church."

"At the risk of being seen to be defending myself, I wish to confirm to the
distinguished leaders of the church that the Bombardier Challenger 601 aircraft
in question is mine. The aircraft was presented to me as a gift by members of our
congregation and ministry partners worldwide at my 40th anniversary of my call

 into the ministry."

"May I be permitted to stress that the aircraft was not given to me by the President
of Nigeria, neither was it a settlement for any political favour or patronage."

"With the benefit of hindsight, the President of the country was a guest in our church
during the anniversary celebration when the jet was presented to me. This has construed
an implication that it was a gift from the Presidentof the country."

"The President of Nigeria has nothing to do with the gift of the aircraft. By the way,
I still wonder why all those saying this cannot come out to show proof so that the
matter can be put to rest once and for all. Let me say that this might be an issue
of the court in the near future."

"In order to ameliorate the cost of maintenance of the aircraft, I sought and got
permit to allow the aircraft fly in and out of Nigeria."

"Based on this, I leased the aircraft on August 2, 2014, to a company to run it.
It was the leasee that entered into an agreement with the people who carried
out the transfer of funds. Having leased the aircraft to the Green Coast Produce
Company Limited, any transaction undertaken with the aircraft can no longer be
attached to me."

"Inasmuch as I am shocked and distressed by the incident, I wish to appeal to
Christians in Nigeria to remember that a war has been waged against the
Nigerian church. This war is being fought on many fronts and this unfortunate
incident is another dimension in the assault against the church."

"It is clear that those who manipulated this conspiracy desire to create a schism
in the church,"

God Called Me to Serve Him - Bishop Oyedepo Tells It at His 60th Birthday Party...

God Called Me to Serve Him - Bishop Oyedepo Tells It at His 60th Birthday Party...

The President of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo
turned 60 yesterday. To celebrate it he had an elite ceremony .
 He also answered several questions from journalists at the event. See excerpts below;
How do you feel attaining the age of 60?
I am simply grateful to God. I have always seen life as a gift from God.
Life is a privilege, not a right. No one brought himself or herself to
life and no one can sustain their life on their own. I am just grateful to
God for all His goodness and mercy till date.
What was growing up like for you?
It was more of a school. Growing under my grandmother was an experience
I will be eternally grateful to God for. She made a man out of me as a child.
I was exposed to highly profitable lessons such as character, hard-work,
focus and financial integrity. Under my grandmother, you are not permitted to do
what you like but what is right. Such upbringing gave me respect among my
peers and audience with my superiors. It is this man-child concept that informed
the founding philosophy of our university system.
When you decided to go to the ministry, who were the personalities
that made positive impacts in your life?
First, the Holy Spirit, who delivered the mandate to me on May 2, 1981.
Second, most of the personalities involved, I encountered by proxy and mostly
through books. For instance, my spiritual life was boosted largely through faith
 teachings of Kenneth E. Hagin and E. W. Kenyon (1976). T. L. Osborn taught
me how to hear from God without which, perhaps, I will not have been in ministry
today (1976). Kenneth Copeland taught me how to access divine supplies both
for my life and the work of the ministry (1977).

Blessing Okagbare Unveils Her Fiancee, Says She's Getting Married this Year!

Blessing Okagbare Unveils Her Fiancee,

Says She's Getting Married this Year!

The Nigerian female athletics superstar has revealed the identity of the man in her life.
 Blessing said
Before the end of this year they will be tying the knot and also went on to talk on
how they met. Find the interview as printed on the pages of the Daily Telegraph Newspaper;
Tell us about the man in your life and what was it that made
you believey you found the right choice?
He is Igho Otegheri, a footballer who is very down to the earth.
One thing about relationships is that you need a person that understands
and tolerates you both in your good and bad times. He is someone that
reallycherishes me for who I am and not the fame I have got. He is someone
that looks atyour inner beauty and wants to help you grow. He supports my
dreams and pushes me to hit my targets. He came and I couldn’t say no.
So how did he win your heart or what did he do to sweep you off your feet?
I actually knew him before I left the shores of Nigeria. He is someone I knew through
a friend and we werenot really talking, but something happened and we got talking
and that was it. I actually liked him as a friend before I left and we were talking as
friends on the phone and I was not really surprised when he asked me out.
But you know, I had to bid my time even though I was very happy that he asked me out.
We are women; we need to do a bit of delay tactics before accepting proposals.
He is someone I really want to be with because he is nice and God fearing.
Those were some basic things I prayed for in a man. He is kind and that is
a great thing for me because he supports my life, my career and my aspirations.
I couldn’t say no because he has all what I prayed for in my ideal man.
Will you say being a footballer or a sport person also influenced your
 decision to accept his proposal?
No. Sports had nothing to with my decision to accepting his proposal.
Honestly, the sports aspect did not have anything to do with it.
So whatdid hesay that convinced you?
He is very easy going person and he does not see me as Nigeria’s
Blessing Okagbare , but as the woman he loves and I love it. Most times
he forgets that I’m Blessing Okagbare and sometimes I get upset (laughing)
 I’m just kidding.
That is a very great thing because a lot of people just put the whole
“Blessing Okagbare thing”’ on their head and that pisses me off.
So when are you tying the nuptial knot with Igho?
Very soon, but it is going to happen this year. Later in the year,
everybody will know because a lot of people have been waiting anxiously.”

Top 10 tips for success

Richard Branson's top 10 tips for success

Richard Branson

Related Stories

Richard Branson left school at the age of 16 and set up Student Magazine with one of his friends. He went on to start Virgin Records in the 1970s and is the founder of the Virgin Group. In the 1980s he formed Virgin Atlantic airline and the 1990s saw the arrival of Virgin Mobile and Virgin Trains.
He is one of the most successful businessmen in the UK and an icon of entrepreneurship. His latest project is Virgin Galactic, which he hopes will one day become a space tourism company.
Here are his Top Ten Tips for success:

1. Follow your dreams and just do it

Follow your dreams, get involved in life, in the things that interest you. If you are going to create a business, make sure it is your hobby, your passion or something that you really enjoy.
You will live a much better life that way. Don't just set out to do something for the sake of making money.
I think lots of people have lots of great ideas, but very few people actually go out and try to put them into practice.
There are lots of people who think that somebody must have done that before, or you'll never raise the money or you shouldn't take a risk in life.
It's the people who say I'm just going to do it, that end up having a chance of having a much more exciting and rewarding life.
Student paperFor his Student Magazine Branson wrote a lot of letters to celebrities and managed to get many of them to agree to be interviewed

2. Make a positive difference and do some good

The first thing to do if you want to become an entrepreneur is basically to have an idea that is going to make a positive difference to other people's lives. A business is simply that.
If you're running a business you are in a position where you can make a hell of a difference in this world.
I also think it's great for the staff of a company that they can feel good about a company that is actually getting out there and doing good.

3. Believe in your ideas and be the best

You definitely need to believe in your idea. There's really no point in doing something in life unless people feel really good about it and proud about it. You've got to have passion for it and you've got to be able to inspire other people to have a passion for it too.
If an idea is a good idea you should be able to pitch it in two or three sentences and two or three sentences fit very neatly on the back of an envelope.
There was no point creating a new airline unless it was going to be palpably better than every other airline in the world, you've got to make sure that every aspect of what you do is better than the competition.
Virgin Records shopBranson's record business started out as a mail order company

4. Have fun and look after your team

I 100% believe that it's important to have fun and if you're not having fun anymore, it might be time to move on. You should have fun from the top down and create the kind of environment that's pleasant to work in.
Make sure that you've got the kinds of people running your companies who genuinely care about people, who look for the best in people and who praise and don't criticise.
People are not that unlike flowers. If a flower is watered it flourishes and if a flower is not watered it dries up and dies and I think the same applies to people.

5. Don't give up

It's extremely important not to give up. There have been situations in my adventures, like crossing the pacific in a balloon, where the odds were stacked very heavily against us surviving.
Being an entrepreneur is not that dissimilar to being an adventurer. You have plenty of situations where your back is right up against a wall and you've just got to work day and night to make sure you overcome the difficulties a particular company finds itself in. Brush yourself down the next day and move on into something else.
I think I'm reasonably good at dealing with failure and not letting it get me down for more than an hour or two as long as I put everything I can into avoiding it.
Richard BransonBranson arrived on Necker Island in 1989 hanging from the bottom of a helicopter to marry his wife Joan Templeton

6. Make lots of lists and keep setting yourself new challenges

I make copious lists because I think it's the little details that make for an exceptional company over an average company. Details are very important and I think it's important to keep setting yourself new challenges and targets.
I do believe that the first of the year is a good time to write down your goals for the year. Unless you actually organise yourself and write down the kinds of things you want to achieve, there's a danger that as time slips by, you don't achieve a lot.

7. Spend time with your family and learn to delegate

One of the early things you have to do as an entrepreneur is learn the art of delegation. Find people who are better than you to run the companies on a day-to-day basis, freeing yourself up to think about the bigger picture and spend time with your family.
That's very important, especially if you've got children, they are what's going to be left when you're gone.
I know I'm a good entrepreneur, but I'm not sure that I'd be a very good manager and there is a difference. My mind is always thinking ahead and wanting to create new things.
I just think once I've set something up, it's better if someone else runs it. I can dive in and out and be a pain occasionally, but the day-to-day business is better for somebody else to do.
Richard Branson and childrenBranson has two children Holly and Sam

8. Try turning off the TV and get out there and do things

My mum brought us up very much to get out there and do things, don't watch other people do things, and don't watch television. I think that was a good way of bringing up kids. With my own kids, we've spent quite a lot of time in the Caribbean and we never watch television there.
I think I am capable of switching off on Necker Island which is where we sort of pull up the drawbridge. But what I'm doing I see as so fascinating, so rewarding, so interesting that I don't ever really want to switch off too much because I find myself in such a wonderful, challenging position that I don't want to waste that position and there are just so many important challenges going on.

9. When people say bad things about you, just prove them wrong

There are people who hang onto the coat tails of successful people and try to sell a few books on the back of their name. It's unpleasant but you know that if you sue them or kick up a fuss, all it will do is publicise the book. So I've had to learn the art of ignoring people like that.
I think the best thing to do is just to prove them wrong in every single way. This particular book, (Branson: Behind the Mask by Tom Bower), says that our spaceship programme is a white elephant, later this year we will prove them wrong.
Richard BransonBranson stands in front of a large photo of his SpaceShipTwo - the commercial spaceship is undergoing tests in California's Mojave Desert

10. Do what you love and have a sofa in the kitchen

You only live one life, so I would do the thing that you are going to enjoy. When life boils down, this might sound like a little much coming from me, I do have my own little island in the Caribbean, but when we are on that island, we tend to just live in the kitchen.
The truth is, so long as you've got a kitchen which has space for a sofa, and a bedroom, and a partner that you love, you don't necessarily need the add-ons in life.
Then, if you're doing something that really interests you, it will result in a much more enjoyable life rather than just doing something for the sake of making money.
